Blackberry Messenger (BBM) For iOS Submitted To Apple For Approval
Good news for Apple iOS users. The blackberry messenger, popularly known as bbm has been ported to the Apple iOS by Blackberry. All that remains is approval and feedback from Apple.
A Blackberry employee Alex Kinsella posted in a tweet that the popular bbm messenger was sent to Apple two weeks ago for approval. The tweet says: “Just in case we forgot to mention, BBM for iPhone was submitted for review 2 wks ago. #waiting #BBM4ALL”
We do not know why the approval is taken so long but one thing we know is that other apps which have been sent to apple in the past usually gets approved in about 4 days on average. This delay shows that apple is being skeptical on whether approving Blackberry messenger for iOS would hurt their market or not considering that Blackberry is a huge competitor to Apple.
Let’s go back in time to 2009
Flackback:
Anyone remember in 2009 when Google sent the Google Voice app to Apple for approval?
Apple rejected it, well at first, but they only approved it a year later in 2010 after the FCC put forward an inquiry over Apple’s Appstore method of approval.
Blackberry Messenger For Android
According to the guys at Samsung Africa, the BBM app is coming to some Samsung Galaxy android phones this fall.
