Color Code SMS, BBM, Email Messages on BlackBerry OS 10.2.1

Color coding messages on the BlackBerry OS 10 is not a new feature on the BlackBerry Hub, but a lot of BB10 users do not know about this feature or how to implement it.

It not only adds color to your BBM messages but also your SMS, Email, Instant messaging and notifications from social networks like Facebook and Twitter.

The idea about color coding is not to beautify your BlackBerry Hub or give it some color. It’s purpose is to make it easier to visually distinguish between messages from different platforms. For example; you can decide to set your Facebook messages to display as blue and your emails to display as red and your BBM messages as yellow e.t.c This makes it pretty much easier to check if you have any new emails just by scrolling through.

How To Color Code OS 10.2.1 Messages

1. Go into your BlackBerry Hub
2. Click on the menu button with three dots
3. Choose Settings
4. Choose Hub Management
5. Then select the accounts you want to color code.

It gets pretty straight forward from there. Although the feature is lacking in colors but hopefully more will be added in the next release.
