- Trisodium phosphate (TSP) or Methyl Ethyl Ketone (MEK)
- Kitty litter
- Saw dust
- Gloves
- Cleaning brush
Note that TSP is a very strong cleaning agent, you don’t want to bring this near your food, skin or children.With your gloves on, mix some TSP with sawdust, kitty litter and a little water. If the stain has more gunk or sticky oil in it then you need to use more kitty litter and saw dust.
Cover the stain up with the mixture and let it stay for an hour. You can cover it up with some plastic wrap to prevent children or guests from tampering with it.
The kitty litter and sawdust would soak up the oil, while the TSP would diffuse into the stain and break it down for easy cleaning.
