iOS 7.1 Untethered Jailbreak For iPhone 4 by Winocm

An untethered jailbreak for the iOS 7.1 has been demonstated by the p0sixspwn developer, winocm on an iphone 4. He released this short video on his youtube page demonstrating an untethered boot on an iPhone 4 running iOS 7.1

We were also shown some basic operations of the phone while it’s jailbroken. Obviously missing from the jailbreak is Cydia, although winocm admits that the untethered jailbreak is yet to be finished.

This is great news, the problem is, we do not know how much longer we would wait for its release. We also do not know if the jailbreak would be available on A5 devices like the iPhone 5.

Word of advice though; do not upgrade to iOS 7.1 if you already have a jailbreak on lower versions like 7.0.4
