How To Update Google Play Store Without Sideloading

Did you know? You can actually check for an update to the Google play Store app without sideloading, and within the app itself, using a feature that was apparently added to the app around March this year. No more installing third party apps or waiting forever just to get an update to your Play Store.

In March 2014, a little utility was added to the Google Play Store app. This tool is called Build Version; I really do not know what its main purpose is, but one thing I know for sure is that when you tap on the button, it alerts you that there is a new version of the app available, if actually there is an available Play Store update. This tool is located in the settings menu of the Google Play Store app, scroll to the bottom of the menu to find the Build Version button.

If you happen to figure out what it actually does, it would be nice to let us know. 🙂
